I figured most people will never get to see a Rebif needle
(not that they would want to) but I went ahead and took some pictures
of mine so people could see. Some states on the needle are:
- 27 gauge (I think that is .0164 inches)
- .5 inch long
- 5ml of fluid
- 44
mcg (micro grams) of medication
My apologies to those of you that have a browser that cannot
handle PNG
images because all of the images on this page (and on this site) are in
that format. I decided to go with PNG because of the current
patent dispute with the JPEG format. GIF was ruled out
because of
the poor quality with limiting the number of colors. My
recommendation (as always) is to get a real browser like Mozilla which is
standards
compliant, secure, and can handle these images. All images on
this page were edited with the GIMP.
I have higher resolution pictures but decided that was
overkill and
just went with the smaller version. If for some reason you
want
high resolution versions drop me a note.
Most likely you came here from my Blog but if
not you will
probably find it very interesting.
This is
just a
picture of the box:

This
is a
picture of the inside of a new box with all 12 injections (4 week
supply). All syringes are individually packaged.
This is
needle side up in this picture so you are looking at the top of the cap.

This
is a
picture of the syringe out of the box. This is a used one as
you see the plunger all the way at the end. I wanted to get a
picture of a new needle but those came out blurry. I recapped
it
so other than no medication being in it anymore this is exactly what it
looks like.

This
is a
picture of the syringe after having been given the injection so the
plunger is all the way at the end. The needle is .5 inches,
as
mentioned above, so isn't very long.
