While it is easy to focus on the negative aspects of Multiple Sclerosis, there is certainly a silver lining. I know for me, among other items, it has been a reaffirmation that in these uncertain times that it is family that counts for the most. Most of the other stuff tends to fall into just being part of the routine. I guess an even more significant example of this is Richard Pryor’s wife saying that Multiple Sclerosis saved his life. To a greater or lesser extent it was certainly a factor for me in the decision to have a larger family – broken bones, hospital visits, and all! 😉

  1. Heh, I had the same thoughts about the whole ‘curse’ thing as well. Pretty much chalked it up to God giving me a backhand to the cheek as a way of telling me that I need to slow down a bit and focus on more important things.
