Provigil Doesn't Help MS Fatigue But Aspirin Might

Came across this the other day and thought it was pretty interesting. I would have thought a drug that would work with narcolepsy would work with Multiple Sclerosis too. On the other hand I will definitely try my own little trial with some aspirin the next time I have MS fatigue. Too bad they didn't say it cures "Kids Waking You Up in the Middle of the Night and Then Needing Some Personal Attention to go Back to Sleep Fatigue" KWYUMNTNSPABSF for short. ;-) Article: Provigil Doesn't Help MS Fatigue But Aspirin Might

Very interesting! And cheaper, too. No prior authorizations and other insurance bull$hit to go through.

But I'm going to stick to my amantadine and vivarin combo for now.

Huh. That's different. Since I suffer from migraines and frequent head-aches, this might be something I should give a crack.

Now that Cylert is not available and without it my fatigue I'd sleep 10 + hours a night I tried Provigil. Headaches and it doesn't seem to work. So looks like I'll try aspirin next.

Anonymous,
I have now had very good luck with a B-100 complex, and I suppose it is probably the B-12. It is certainly a heck of a lot cheaper than Provigil, and without the side effects.

I was diagnosed with MS in 2000. I took amantadine and switched to Provigil 3.5 years ago. I take 400 mg a day and it has worked amazingly well for me. I don't have any side affects. Aspirin isn't an option for me because of my asthma. Provigil is definitely more trouble than amantadine, but it also works better.
