After being sick with the flu, and basically bed ridden for three days, it felt really good to finally be able to do some work on Saturday. Even though it was “chores” it gave a sense of accomplishment that you just can’t get laying on your back and counting the dots on the ceiling. Reflecting back, that was a good portion of why I wanted to keep working through my first really bad exacerbation; and not take a leave of absence. If you can, I think it is good to get out of the house and do some work. In the very least it gets the mind off of the MS for a while; but I think, at least for me, that it was an issue of not letting the “MS win” and that was not how I was going to quit working. I at least won that round!

  1. I should note that a full day of work, work did me in yesterday. I tried to blog, and actually got some material ready, but I didn’t have the energy to write. So I just gave up and called it a VERY early night. Today I seem to be back to normal after a full day of work work. Keep in mind I of course mean a full day at the bank, which is probably like a 1/4 of a day anywhere else! 😉

  2. Eric what is your job at the bank ? My Mom was a Teller for 18 years ! Glad you are over the flu !

  3. Erik: I know your angst … Sometimes I have so much to say but no moxie or motivation to do so. ‘Full day at the bank’? Not the stem cell bank, right?

  4. No, not the stem cell bank. Though I am going out for some steak tonight so I will definitely be working on the stem cell 6 pack! 😉

  5. Eric, that is the perfect job for you ! Since you are ** JOE COMPUTER ** ! Just a joke (( LOL )) Hope you are smiling !
