I am all for legitimate research into the long term negative effects of taking any drug. I want, as much as anyone, for my treatment to not kill me. On the other hand the report that came out about there supposedly being a higher incidence of cancer among Multiple Sclerosis patients who take one of the ABCR drugs seems like a pretty big stretch. I think I’ll have to agree with the data that Teva has that there is a lower incidence of cancer among their MS patients than in the general population. I’ll definitely be continuing my treatment well into the future, hopefully on a combination therapy soon too! I guess we’ll see where this research goes, and if they’ll do a larger study that may actually mean something? Here is the article that I saw, for those morbidly interested: Teva slips on reports of study linking MS drugs to cancer.
