Basically sick again. I guess it is going around because all the SysAdmins at work (including those in Houston) seem to be getting repeatedly sick. Probably all these Windows 2003 upgrades – enough to make the best of us ill! 😉 I am feeling much better tonight but am still running a fever so my hands are a little stiff – much better than this morning. I barely had the energy to get out of bed today to sit and watch TV let alone do something productive. At least the system upgrade over the weekend went flawlessly and didn’t require me being at work.

  1. Glad to hear you’re feeling a bit better, Erik! Me, I’ve had no end of trouble with my MS and trigeminal neuralgia (I wrote a rather lengthy post on it yesterday at my blog, the Zen Pretzel Trick). Hang in there!

  2. Hey Erik! I’m sorry to hear you haven’t been feeling well, but glad that you’re on the mend. We missed you! I am debating whether to get the flu shot or not for this very reason. Although I don’t work directly with the public, I do work in a public library…could be a long winter…

  3. Sorry to hear that … try Linux? < insert evil laugh here> I usually catch the super-bugs from the kids so I know exactly where you are at. Stay in bed and hit the Gatorade hard bud. Hope you are not reacting to your meds, that would suck, eh?

  4. I always get the flu shot now, as does my wife and kids. Otherwise we’d all get the flu. 🙁

Linux isn’t much of an option working for a Fortune 500 company. Somebody who has trouble finding the “Any Key” on their keyboard and listened to too much MS FUD makes these decisions. Besides isn’t the new phrase “no one ever got fired for buying MS.” Besides they’ve basically made it known I’m not there to make decisions (or think) just to do as I’m told. I basically live the Dilbert red tape stupidity. 🙁
